ARTFEST FATBOOK PAGES - JANUARY 19, 2008

Well I did it! I finished all my fatbook pages for ArtFest. I joined both books, 58 pages each, I did 116 pages, all originals, not copied. Actually, I thought I was nuts to attempt it but it was fine. When I got on a roll it was fun. I used double sided 12 x 12 scrapbook paper cardstock so I would have to paint any background or glue anything to blank cardstock. It's all just collage, no painting or stamping. Considering I've only ever done about 4-5 pages before with my art group I'm very pleased with them. I used all family pictures, 4 different ones, one of my mother when she was about 12 and very beautiful, one of both of my parents in approx. the 1940's, one of my brother in approx. 1930's and one of my friend's mother in law when she was a little girl. I worked about 2 full days on them and a few blocks of about 4 hours each. It was fun and not as tedious as I thought it would be. I would say I was stopping and putting my stuff away and then would start cutting and gluing again. I scanned some and took pictures as it's going to be hard to give them up and mail them off. I couldn't give some up so ended up having to make more so I could keep a few for me.
