My favorite stamp store The Stamp Art Shoppe is having a contest called “Playing with Time”.  The contest is to use the Tim Holtz Assemblage Clock for the creative base of your art.  You have to use at least 3 stamped images and attach a decorated tag with with the name of your creative time piece.  The entries are due in a week so I’m getting on it.
I decided to make my clock a time traveling robot from the future.
I started by taking off the legs, the handle, the bells, well everything.  I drilled new holes to move the bells farther down the sides to be shoulders for the arms.  I colored the clock with red and blue alcohol inks.  I didn’t take pictures like I should have during the process.
I found a bunch of stuff that I had in my stash that could be used to make him into a robot.
Here he is almost done already.  I changed the arms twice because I wasn’t happy, I stamped a sun image on two round “Fragments” by Tim Holtz and put them on the bell shoulders so I could use the hole to hang the arms from.  Stamped stars around the edge of the glass front.  I also stamped a pocket watch stamp on black with white ink and embossed it, those are my three stamped images.
I was going to use a pool ball for the head but found this light bulb that I think may be from a car and the pointy brass piece of top I have no idea what it is but thought it looked good.  Glued little lightbulbs into the holes left by the handle.  Added Tim Holtz wheels as feet.  The feet make it too tall to stand on it’s own so will have to add something to the back as a third leg.
Found this image of a swirly clock on the internet and glued it to a piece of cereal box cardboard and glued on some Tim Holtz Ideaology gears and some electronic parts from a box of parts I got at a yard sale.  The text says "Today's Wormhole Conditions:  Leaky with a Chance of Paradox".  He also has a portable wormhole with him as this is how he travels through time.
More pics will come when I finish.
